Just over a year ago, we posted our thoughts on why the Ouya android based console would fail. At the time, the Ouya was being featured prominently in the media due to a successful large kickstarter.
Well, sorry to be the people to say we were right, but we were right! And we even got the reasons right, according to this article on Games Radar:
Don’t misunderstand, we’re not happy about the Ouya failing, it was just inevitable. We love the idea behind the Ouya: easy to develop for console for the masses. We believe the Ouya kicked XBox and Sony in the right location to make them more open to indy developers. We’re impressed at how open Sony is trying to be an indy platform with the PS4 and lowering or eliminating publishing fees.
Are you a busy parent, grandparent, caregiver, or poorly paid babysitter? Does a crying child ruin your day? We’ve got the solution right here!
My baby (the reason we made the app) is now 14 months old. A babysitter was getting frustrated with Claire’s crying so in desperation she looked around on the ipad for anything baby could do. She found A is for App (not knowing I had made it) and she and baby absolutely loved it! Claire stopped crying. The sitter said every letter was hilarious and she felt she had more fun than Claire did! We’ve successfully developed a cure for baby crying! Tested it on humans! Is there anything A is for App cannot do?
Get it on iPad, Android, Kindle Fire, Playbook Nov 15!

We’re happy to announce our newest title A is for App an IT Alphabet book.
With the recent birth of my first daughter, I was surprised to find there are children’s books about farm animals, policemen, even hockey, but what about technology?
As a dad in software development, I want to share my love of technology with daughter. As I look forward to her future, most jobs will be as a knowledge worker utilizing technology. There is no better time to start learning than right now.
A is for App is an interactive storybook for iPad, android tablet, and playbook that teaches 26 common information technology concepts in a kid friendly way. From J is for JPEG to V is for Virtualization you can share quality time with your son or daughter and give them a glimpse into your world.
My hope is that this product enables a dad (or mom) to spend quality close reading time together where they would not have otherwise. If we achieve that, it is worth all the time and effort!
